Shockwave Therapy

What Causes a Headache or a Migraine?

Our Physiotherapy team uses Shockwave Therapy as a highly effective pain and rehabilitation treatment. A therapeutic shockwave is a high energy sound wave that promotes regeneration and reparative processes for acute and chronic conditions of the bones and soft tissues (muscles, tendons, connective tissue).

Muscle and tendon related issues have been treated using therapeutic shockwaves since the early 1990s. Since then, many clinical studies and patient experiences have clearly shown its place as a safe and reliable tool for physical rehabilitation.

Shockwave Therapy works quickly (6-8 treatments) and generally has a rapid reduction of pain and increased mobility. It can be used without drugs and safely stimulates the body’s natural healing processes. The treatment is non-invasive with minimal side effects.

During the initial evaluation our team will determine if Shockwave Therapy is an appropriate tool that may be used alone, or in combination with other treatments, to best address your particular needs.

Shockwave Therapy can be effective for:

  • Foot Pain (Heel Spurs, Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendon)
